Birrenkott Surveying was established in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in 1987 and has been serving the entire state of Wisconsin since that time. Our highly-trained staff is ready and willing to help you with all of your surveying and Perc testing needs.

Our company is comprised of 9 dedicated employees, two of whom are licensed Professional Land Surveyors:  Chris Casson and Mark Pynnonen. By using the latest surveying equipment, GPS receivers, and AutoCAD software, we can provide the services you need to help make your project a success.

For more than 30 years, Birrenkott Surveying has been meeting the needs of its clients throughout the State of Wisconsin. Our client base includes architects, municipalities, park and school districts, churches, utility companies, developers, builders, civil engineers, attorneys, and private individuals. We will provide a list of client references to you upon request. We are fully insured, carrying Workers Compensation and Professional Liability Insurance.

Daniel V. Birrenkott, Founder

Dan Birrenkott, a Registered Wisconsin Land Surveyor (Retired) with 46 years of surveying experience, is the founder of Birrenkott Surveying.

He is a graduate of the Madison Area Technical College with an associates degree in Land Surveying. Dan is a past president of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors and has served on the board of WSLS for 19 years and and has been involved in the WSLS Foundation for 15 years.

Dan is also an active member and chairman of numerous committees. He chaired the Society Public Relations Committee for three years and is the force behind bringing the TrigStar Program into local high schools. This is a program instructing students in and honoring them for their mathematical achievements. Awards and scholarships are presented annually at the Madison Area Surveyors Council. Dan is active in his local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Madison Area Builders Association, and Wisconsin Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association.
